Rachael Wright

Rachael Wright has served as the Executive Director for HeartGift Houston for more

than two years. In that time she has worked directly with ten CHD patients traveling

from seven different countries. Each of these patients has a CHD that cannot be repaired

in their home country. It is her privilege to walk beside these mothers and children as

they travel many miles for a healed heart.  Rachael is also a mother of three children of her own. As a result, charities that serve parents and children are very near to her heart.   Rachael’s father was born with a congenital heart defect and underwent open-heart surgery at the age of 11 in 1959.  Working with HeartGift and journeying with families through the process of mending children’s hearts has opened a window for her of the incredible journey that her grandmother experienced having a young child with CHD in the 1950’s.
