Job Title: Radio Broadcast Intern

Location: Work from home on your own computer, no special equipment needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • offer support to the radio producers and guests
  • perform a wide range of key administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the radio programs (including running the chatroom during the show; uploading photos to the slide show for BlogTalkRadio & creating a page on the website for each show in the Bios section)
  • help with research, planning, and production of the radio show

Reports to: the Radio Producer or Assistant Producer

Length of Appointment: One season (15 weeks)

Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per week with a weekly one-hour staff meeting; the shows will be broadcast at 11:00-12:00 CT on Tuesdays and at 9:00-9:30 (live) CT on Thursdays.

Qualifications: Some college would be helpful, especially in the field of journalism, broadcasting or communications but is not a necessity. A willingness to learn and try to new things is important. The volunteer must be able to work well with a team, be comfortable with problem-solving, easy to communicate within standard English (both written and oral), self-motivated and dependable.
